However, while playing in this manner one must be sure that it is not a game that uses Nash equilibrium, because if so then the players would have to play an unequal game, meaning that one player would have advantage over the others. As we see when playing the prisoner’s dilemma, it is possible for one player to get ahead of the other by using his knowledge of the prisoner’s dilemma, while non-cooperative players can never have this advantage.

In order for the players to have equal chances of winning or settling on a particular strategy, both players must agree to it before proceeding. And if either player is ready to go to another round, he can withdraw from the current round and choose a new player. Otherwise, the player that chose to stay will be forced to start again with all his capital at stake. Nash equilibrium is the main reason why this game is considered to be the most well-known and also one of the most applied game theory.

There are various strategies that can be employed in this game e.g., you can make your units move faster and thus have a higher chance of winning the battle. Or you can build structures which can be helpful to your opponent. On the other hand, you can form alliances with different player and use their combined effort to beat your opponent. Nevertheless, before you decide upon a particular strategy, you should be sure that the players are following the game rules and that it will not cause them any harm if they follow your strategy.
